We got to come see Mom’s reef ball with the completed collar and the “pearl” inside which contained her ashes. We made rubbings of the plaque for ourselves and our mom’s siblings.

My mother’s ashes were committed to the Eternal Reefs project. My family attended the casting where we put her ashes into a solution to make a “pearl” and also decorated the collar of the reef ball.

Dad came over to see his daughters after Mom died. He bought us sushi and we shared how we were all feeling.
